CPA uses for chiptuning camshaft sensors the camshaft signal in order to offer an optimization solution for high-performance engines. The camshaft sensor, which is located directly on the valve control, determines the position of the camshaft and sends the signal to the control unit. This is used to optimally inject the amount of fuel. The signal from the camshaft sensor is used by the CPA technical team to access the engine management system and activate the engines power reserves. Through extensive and sometimes complex development work, the CPA software can be adapted to the respective values of the car.
